At the heart of Finland’s thriving startup ecosystem are student-run Entrepreneurship Societies (ES). Yet, today, these very societies face an existential crisis. Most struggle just to survive, battling financial instability, limited resources, and fragmented support.

Is this truly how we build Finland’s future?
Is this really the path to 100 unicorns and 100,000 jobs?

We at NexUs say no.

Aaltoes demonstrated the potential. Scaling from student club to global impact because they had the right resources, connections, and systematic backing. But success can’t depend on a single community.

Every Entrepreneurship Society should be a genuine gateway to innovatio and not simply an event organizer with a tight budget. They deserve structured support to cultivate founders and launch transformative companies.

That is why NexUs was formed. It exists to ensure that ESs have a solid base upon which they can truly support founders at scale.

Through unified action, we can secure partnerships, funding, and events at a scale no single ES could achieve alone: nationwide partnerships, substantial funding (like EU initiatives and national programs), and impactful large-scale events.

The next generation of founders is already stepping up, and our promise is clear: To back the societies. To empower the societies. To unite the societies.
